The Natural Toxins Research Center (NTRC) operates an Internet database for venomous snakes and their venoms.

The database contains natural history notes, pictures of venomous snakes, distribution maps and information about each individual snake and its venom.   Information about snake venoms is being routinely added.  Presently, high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) profiles, electrophoretic titration profiles, and enzymatic activities for venoms are found in the database.   In the near future HPLC reverse phase profiles with disintegrin data, and two dimensional electrophoresis gels, along with mass spectrometry data will be added to the database.  The query form allows users to search through the database to find information about the species or its venom.
